George Tang, President and Chief Executive Officer, is a founder and an owner of L & T Tax Services, Inc. at this location. He is a registered tax preparer and has worked in the field since 2008. Mr. Tang, who also serves as an adjunct professor of business, economics, and mathematics at various Illinois institutions, has a broad understanding of financials and their impact in business and economic performance.
After graduating high school in the United States, he went on to community college and completed his Associate in General Studies at Parkland College. Besides an associate’s degree, he completed two bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and in General Studies at Western Illinois University (WIU). He also completed a Master’s in Economics at WIU. Currently, he is working on a doctoral degree in Business Administration.
In his spare time, he is a tireless civic leader in the Chicago Chinatown area, working to promote human rights, equality, and social justice. He welcomes the opportunity to earn your trust and to offer you the best service in the industry.

Eric Chen, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, has been a volunteer IRS tax assistant since the year 2000 at the Chinese American Service League. In addition, he worked in social services, helping hundreds of elderly and low-income households with tax assistance. He has twenty years of experience dealing with income tax for working families and entrepreneurs. He also helped build IT system/network infrastructures for school, shop, and the tax firm that enhanced client service, efficiency, and security. He is a believer in a well-built, well-organized, quality service firm that clients can depend on.

Zoe Lei, Enrolled Agent and Vice President, completed her basic certification in computer information systems and acquired an associate degree in general studies from Harold Washington College. In addition, she earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from East-West University and a master’s degree in accounting from American Public University.
After completing her undergraduate degree in mathematics, she immediately began working full time as an accountant assistant at the office of Mark Wong, CPA. Before joining L & T Tax Services, Inc, she worked with First Quality Financial Group for more than five years under the mentorship of Maria Tai, CPA. She greatly appreciated her mentor, who has given her much support, care, and guidance over the years. She is currently working toward her CPA license in Illinois. She plans to finish and take her certified public accounting exam in the near future.
Zoe is creative, humble, and friendly. In her spare time, she loves cooking, watching TV, and spending time with her son outdoors. She is pleased to join our team in 2022 and serve her clients.

Jennie Zheng, Senior Tax Specialist, is passionate about her work and loves to meet new faces. She completed a career certificate in payroll at DePaul University. She has been with L & T Tax Services since January 2020. She looks forward to serving everyone in Chicago.
